We had 9 enthusitic owners showing off their beautiful EVs! The forcast was for rain, and it was raining at the start of the day, but the sun came out after lunch

We had an excellent turnout for our first EV Social, with many people who don't own EV's, learning from experienced EV owners
We had a wonderful (no rain) Saturday October 14/23 at the Duncan Farmers Market! We had almost 60 people stop and talk with us in the four hours that we were there. One observation... We noticed that more and more people who stopped to chat, have purchased an EV in the past year.
We had nine members this year to show off their EV's! And they were able to enjoy fresh popped popcorn using the high voltage battery in the Hyundai Ionic 6!
On Father's Day, June 18th 2023, the Mid-Vancouver Island Electric Vehicle Association set up eight EVs to show what the future holds. While there were over 600 hot rods also at the show, our section was extremely busy.
A special thank you to all that took the time out of their Father's Day celebrations to share and talk about their EVs!!!

On Sunday October 23rd 2022, Julian Sale of Motorize EV's in Victora shared with us the importance of keeping our EV's properly maintained
We had numerous people stop by who are interested in buying an electric vehicle, to ask questions. Our dedicated group of volunteers did a fantastic job of answering any and all questions.
This was our first in-person information meeting in over 31 months! It proved to be a good start to our regular monthly gatherings. Keep an eye out for our future meetings, which will be held on the last Sunday of each month.

We had a fantastic day, hanging out on "Electric Avenue". We had five cars there this time, a '19 Hyundai Kona, '13 Smart EV, '22 Kia EV6, '22 Hyundai Ionic 5 and a '21 Chevy Bolt EUV!

Despite it being a rainy day, we had numerous people stop by and ask some very good questions. We hope that we were able to help them to make their decision to purchase and EV!
On Sunday March 27th, we held our first big event of 2022. We were set up in the parking lot with our tent, and EV owners, including a brand new Kia EV6!
As well, we had a kiosk inside of the mall, by the Toys R Us entrance
Lot's of fun and EV talk with folks who are frustrated with a recent increase in gasoline that was over $2.00/litre!

On Tuesday November 17, 2021 we held a Zoom meeting on Charging at home. We had two speakers, Lee MacFarlane of Edwards Electric, and Plugzio Co-Founder and CEO Mohammad Akhlaghi.
On a sunny Sunday October 31st, 2021, seven EV's set out on a road trip from Nanaimo to Port Alberni.
The first four met up in Nanaimo, and started a convoy to Coomb's, where we joined up with three other like minded folks, and drove as a group to Port Alberni. Ironically, as we arrived in Port Alberni, our group was stuck behind an oil tanker truck. We all parked at the Harbour Quay, where we checked out the quaint shops, museum, and some of us had lunch before heading back to beautiful Nanaimo!

We had a great turnout of members and cars! At one point we had 14 EV's, including Nissan Leaf's, Tesla's in several models, Kia's and Hyundai's, and the newest... Jaguar iPace!
It was a beautiful sunny day. We look forward to seeing you next year!
On Saturday August 21st, 2021, Barb & Larry ventured out to Ladysmith in their beautifully polished EV's, to attend the Ladysmith Show & Shine. While we only had two vehicles there, we met with, and talked with numerous people who were curious about EV's, and were able to help to dispel many myths!
On Saturday, June 26, 2021, Mid-Vancouver Island Electric Vehicle Association made our way out on a circle tour road trip. We met up with Victoria Electric Vehicle Association at Saywell Park in beautiful Lake Cowichan. While there were one or two I.C.E. vehicles in the parking lot, the remainder were made up of 30 EV's! 5 of which were from the mid-island! This made for a wonderful day, in 33 degree weather.
Thank you to those who joined us for this very informative talk. We learned a great deal about EV's, costs, rebates etc.
While attendace was light, we were all able to engage and learn more.

On Wednesday March 24th, a number of brave volunteers came out on a cold morning and helped to count electric vehicles at three different locations. While the forecast was for rain, we were fortunate that the forecast was incorrect.
We were stationed on the Trans Canada Highway at the main intersection in Nanoose; at the intersection of Mostar and the Nanaimo Parkway,
and at the intersection of Terminal Avenue and Nicol Street in Nanaimo.
we counted a total of 172 EV's between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m. with Tesla's leading the numbers with 75, Kia next with 27, followed by Nissan with 25
